Concerning the word *stu, it would be related to Semitic *Tawru-
and that *st is an answer to a loaned word with a dental thibilant.
I presume that the "V" in *Vlha is an undetermined vowel and the
"lh" is an aspirated lateral or fricative? One would think that it has
some connection with IE *wlxnax and there would also appear to
be a pre-Greek (Tyrrhenian?) word *malo (Greek /mallos/).
Perhaps others have different thoughts about this. What does
capital "M" signify in *Muq?
