Hello, Michael!

Probably David's hair had a lighter colour than brown. In any case he
was not black-haired. In Italy tan or ruddy-hair is often defined
as "blond". I have read somewhere of David's blond hair, but probably
it was a faulty translation. In any case, blond hair were really
found.
Pardon my improper orthography, I meant Aaron (and in any case usual
trascriptions of Hebrew names found in European languages are at
least imprecise). The reference of his red hair comes from
Samaritans. They are a separate people that lives in Israel, and that
is highly endogamic from at least two millenia. They are
considered "heretic". I saw many photos os Samaritans. They are blond
or red people and have a quite fair skin.
Australian Aborigenes are a very peculiar case. Often they
have "meches", that is brown hair with blond tufts. But I know of no
other similar haired people.
I also saw some photos of albino Africans: they have a very fair skin
(easily subject to ustions) and beautiful red hair. Also their
physionomy is different, they have more European features.
Unfortunately, they easily develop skin cancer.

I know. The remotest origin of all mankind was somewhere in Africa,
but details of migrations and differentiation of physic features are
lost, probably forever.

Best wishes
