On the other hand, Saamic loanwords are found among Russian dialectal words
in the region of the Beloe lake (the White lake) and the eastern shore of
the Onega lake.
Besides, there are toponyms with the "Lopin -" (Lappish) part in the eastern
part of the Leningrad administrative region. The left bank of the Upper Neva
was called by the Novgorod people directly "Lopskaya Storona" (the Lappish
side) and the region to the East from it was called "Lopskaya Zemlya" (the
Lappish land).
