Look at this hypothesis... diachronically: the
proto-Romanian community, i.e. the Romance linguistic
community of the peninsula, namely bordering NE
provinces of Italy and the Black Sea. Many features
of the sacral dealings of the Slavic populations
converted to Christendom propagated from the middle
of this Balkanic area (this refers both to Slavic
populations we call today Slovenes and Russians).

By the way, what's the word that was used for
Christmas in the other Balkan Romance idiom, Dalmatian?

(An other BTW: are there Morlaks in Croatia or are
these "Maurovlachs" already extinct, i.e. assimilated?)
