There is no way. Despite the pseudoargumentation of Mr Iacomi here,
there is no way of obtaining from Latin "e" an "u".
As I said before, there can be just an "*do-" or "du-" wherefrom this
can derive in Rom.
The last posibility should be a loan from Italian but I doubt anyone
will try to explain it this way.
