Have you seen the Egyptian Min statues? There are some in the Ashmolean.
That's about as explicit a connection between ejaculation and worship as you
could want. This seems to be different from the ordinary connection
between sex and fertility, which we find all over the middle east. (eg in
Canaanite temples, and in the worship of Ashtar).
