I would think so too. As I've said before, the idea that *egom is from a
thematic verb *eg- meaning to be here (*e + *-g(e)- [emphatic]) would
mirror very well what we find in Inuktitut, Aleutian and even Chukchi. Or in
AA for that matter. Yet since the different languages all use different
demonstrative elements, this can't be due to inheritance. I know Bomhard
has tried -- It didn't work out.
