<Scrum> (cf. Bulg <skrum>, Alb. <shkrump>) and <cenu$a> are synonyms,
but not 100%; i.e., there are lots of situations where they can't be
interchangeable (I mean for the native speaker, for, if a foreigner
mistake, say, <scrum> for <cenu$a>, it doesn't matter :)).

E.g. one says <scrum de tzigarã>, but never <cenu$ã de tzigarã> even
if the ashes are the finest, and of the finest products by the tobacco
industry. :)) Also: <scrumiera> "ashtray." But the Grimm's tale character
is Cenu$ãreasa, and not *Scrumãreasa (or whatever).

E.g. <a nu avea nici cenu$ã în vatrã> "to be very poor." <a-i lua cuiva
Si cenuSa din vatrã> "to take away everything" (e.g. fiscal authorities).
Noteworthy here that <cenu$a> is preferred along with the "substrate"
word <vatrã> "oven," and not <scrum>, that, logically, might be more
appropriate.
