Or how about this one: Nordwestblockese *eud- (< PIE *yut-), in the
pl. *eud-os, Latinised as 'Eudosi' by Germanic-speaking scribes who
didn't recognise the foreign plural (cf. Danish singulars: 'en
clips', 'en hotdogs').
