also thinks Germanic place names point to a migration from Germany to
Scandinavia (and expanding out of Thuringia). For likely cognates to
the some placenames he point to Baltic, less so to Slavic, and
surprise! to Greek (he warns of course that this should not be taken
as etc etc and points to a long row of cognates in Eastern Europe all
the way to the Black Sea so that people don't get ideas).
