Dear Kalya,

Many thanks for your hilarious contribution. I used to
think that Torstens obsession about Austronesian
influences/presence in Neolithic Finland was the most
Monty Pythonian idea around but I was mistaken. You
have now taken the title from him by your This is
suggested because, this shakes the very foundations of
IE.

Somebody who knows about comparative linguistics even
less than I do and certainly has no sense of the
scientific rigor needed to create even ripples in this
fieldproudly proclaims to have shaken the very
foundations of Indo-European studiesWhat a wonderful
sense of self-irony!

Or is it? We know that to turn the legendary Mighty
Saraswati into your ground truth you will be
prepared to go to some lengths, in fact, going all the
way to dynamite and bulldozers. I hope that your
promise of earth shaking events within Indo-European
studies will have a more intellectual orientation.

Best regards, Juha
