Are you suggesting that we are writing in Germanised Welsh?

I'm intrigued. What are you referring to?

Which doesn't agree with the split into Western and Eastern that's
been mentioned here several times, which groups Italian
(Piedmontese?, Lombard?) as Eastern. How you do it depends on what
you want to emphasise - see Piotr's comments on 'South Slavic'.
