Dispute, fight... more semantic games! <:( Yes, people _do_ consciously
_abandon_ their languages. My own grandmother did it when she
neglected to teach my father Swedish. Why? Because in Canada,
Swedish isn't really useful. So people _do_ _definitely_ _without a
shadow of a doubt_ _consciously_ _abandon_ their languages for
whatever reasons. You're being daft. There's nothing to fight here.

preserve their language or to... abandon them.
