The term Daco-Romanian is used to underline that the
Aromanian, Meglenite and Istro-Romanian dialects aren't
included.

They are intelligible, but with great difficulties.
Interprets or dubbing are necessary. :-) (Comparable with,
say, the difference between Niederdeutsch and Bairisch-
Oberdeutsch or between one of these and Alemannisch of
the Swiss kind. Or even between German and Dutch.)

BTW:

As for that big differentiation between "Scandinavian"
and German: how about the relationship "Scandinavian"
and Flemish/Netherlandish + Frisian? And: does North
Frisian belong to the Scandinavian languages?
