Did I mention Russia? I wrote "Rus'", meaning Kievan Rus' (which
bordered on Sudovia well before the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was
established), and the East Slavic principalities that arose after its
disintegration -- in particular, the Vladimir-Volhynia part. It was
partitioned between the expanding Grand Duchy and the Kingdom of Poland
in the 14th c., but before its final decline it was a local power whose
influence was felt in Sudovia.
