The only word in general usage maybe. In the smaller world of
igneous petrologists (where I happen to belong) 'rapakivi' is in
common usage for a texture of some granites in which large potassic
feldspar crystals are mantled by sodic feldspar rims.
I'll have to check on the original meaning, but I believe it's a
Finnish word (or constructed word)and not a place name.
