That's right. My *sírd-ika refers to the state of affairs before the
operation of Meillet's Law in the barytone forms of mobile paradigms in
early Proto-Slavic. I mentioned the early syncope of the medial syllable
exactly because it explains the SCr accent and didn't wish to imply that
the accent reflected the Winterian acute.
