"astronomical linguistics"

I have occasionally been working on some pages I have dubbed
my "astro-ling" subsite and recently completed it, at least for the
time being. http://www.dischord.net/astro/

As an amateur astronomer and long-time fan of mythologies, as well as
a linguist (assuming a BA counts to call myself such), I get asked
quite often by amateur astronomer friends how to pronounce A, or the
etymology of B. I finally decided it might be useful for and
interesting to both myself and others to make a collection of
webpages devoted to the topic. I've done what I think to be a
mediocre/fair job with it.

I was wondering if anyone here is turned on by this sort of thing and
would be interested in assisting me with the project. Say, if you
were to find something you believe to be inaccurate, or something you
think there is a better explanation for, or something you think I was
simply insane to include. Or not include. Whatever it is. I would
be more than happy to learn or speculate along with you. And
moreover, any input would be appreciated. I'm not sure if it'd be
appropriate to speculate on the Cybalist about astro-related IE
etymologies or whatnot if it should concern my subsite (is it okay?),
so private communication with me is perfectly fine.

And before flaming me for any bad linguistic form therein, please
read the second half of my subsite's "notae benae". (Not that any
flames I should receive are unwarranted; they probably are
warranted. I'm jus' sayin'. :)

I thank those of you who have helped me out in the past with my
questions, and I gratefully added you to my credits page. Hopefully
that's alright with you.

Best,
Lisa
