The laryngeals were lost rather late in some of the branches (there is
clear evidence of post-split branch-specific developments in
Indo-Iranian, Greek, Balto-Slavic and Armenian, and of course
consonantal "laryngeals" were partly ratained in Anatolian). In other
words, "PIE after the disappearance of the laryngeals" is a
contradiction in terms, like, say, "Old English after the Great Vowel
Shift".
