If you want: Occ. anhel, Cat. anyell. Port. anho from non-diminutive AGNU.
In Spanish (Castilian) it has been replaced by cordero (also Cat. dial.
corder). In Catalan one also finds <be> (onomatopoeic) and <xai> (< crying
call).
