No, <kushëri> is old in Albanian (cf. the change of s > sh, which
affected loans from Latin but not, e.g., early loans from Italian). It
has a common ancestor with <cusurin>, and little wonder, since the
Balkan Latin substrate in Romanian is virtually identical with
Proto-Romanian.
