A derivative suffix, making nouns out of verb roots in the o-grade, as
in Eng. wasp < *waspa- ~ *wafsa- < *wobH-so- from *webH- 'weave' or Eng.
flax < *flaxsa- < *plok^-so- from *plek^- 'plait, fold' (in addition to
the example already given).
