I'm not sure, but I assume [k^] is supposed to be
a "clucking" sound you can perform by making use
of the apical area of your tongue pressed against
the palatal-rather-alveolar area in such a way
that the uttered sound will be to your ears rather
as a [t] gliding to [T] sound. (But Messrs. PIE-
experts will correct me if I'm wrong.)
