I checked out the link and I would dare say that there _is_ a potential for
it being
Basque-related. Evidently, /bare/ is a common enough word featured in
/uarboiir saruneea BARE nar'kenii/, in /botiea nakertoro ba te BARE ba
nar'kenti/
and in the last one /lokoboniirabotoar'ai[...]BAREbetasiioonii/. It would
seem
to me that it is a demonstrative or 3ps (Basque /bere/ "his", Iberian /ban/)
at
first glance.
