Some have claimed it doesn't, but I see no reason why it shouldn't.

In this and similar cases (e.g. *o:k^u- 'swift') I must admit I'm torn
between a purely laryngeal solution (such as Miguel's) and underlying
length -- .e., *h3o:le:n (if gramatically "animate") rather than
*h1oh3le:n . The latter certainly works phonologically, but seems to
presuppose something morphologically cumbersome like *h1oh3-l-(e)n-. I
don't think the last word has been said about those unexpected long *o:'s
