Yeah but those forlorn "sheep" still translated
those notions into a Romance idiom and not into
Turkish, Slavic or Magyar. Even if their Romance language
lost whole lotta Latin vocabulary, they synthesized
pretty much new one based on remaining basic lexems
of Latin extraction.

In a vague way as in the case of basilica-biserica and
some hints, such as the rhotacism.
