As far as I know, <name> is Persian word and mean 'book'
(cf. "Shahname" - The Book of Kings by Firdusi), present also in
many compound: Salname 'Annual, Year-book' < sal 'year' and
name 'book', ruzname 'journal' < ruz 'day' and name 'book', etc.
Dede in Turkish mean 'grand-father' and Korkut is colesly related to
verb korkmak 'to be afraid' or to transitive form korkutmak 'to
terrify', korku 'fear', etc.
