I regret to say that there is no single reference book to serve as a
state-of-the-art improvement on Pokorny's dictionary. The knowledge
collected over the past decades is in dispersed form: journal articles,
conference papers, monographs of particular problems, histories of
particular languages, etc. One of the purposes of this list is to help
interested amateurs to find acces to such hard-to-get information.
