Dacian was considered the same language as Thracian (OK, here we have to
admit dialectal differences) until Duridanov and Georgiev came with the
idea that Thracian and Dacian are separate languages.
My opinion about is that there is just one language. I am not an adept
of "a lot of IE languages" on the square meter and for Balkan it should
be definitely too many languages for being real. Ilirian + Thracian +
Greek is already enough for that portion of Earth.
