Amianus Marcelinus speaks about a part of the carps who settled in
Panonia. Later there are mentioned the Carpo-dacians ( was this a
specialy denomination for making the difference between the Carps of
Panonia and the Carps of getic therithories?).I don't remember now who
wrote about the blazon of Atilla who called himself u.o. and "dux
dacorum".
