Self-contradiction. How wonderfully illogical.

If one were "realistic" about "natural gender tendencies" of the
sexes (ignoring cultural and societal differences), one would see
much overlap. I'm not sure what studies you have in mind, Eva,
but I can't see any possibility of divorcing a subject's surrounding
cultural setting from the perceived differences that may show
up in such a study. Due to these unavoidable lurking variables,
these studies are open to much interpretation. Therefore, it's
invalid to insist on _any_ relevant gender tendencies at all. There
is a motivation amongst religious conservatives to justify a
behavioural gender difference.

You say that "ancient cultures" were aware of sexual differences,
as if to say that finding historical examples of sexism makes these
attitudes any more logical than they already aren't. Women didn't
vote in Canada until the past century. By the same "logic" as you
use above, we should thus not allow them to vote today.

>And there is nothing wrong with the greater tendency towards
>competition among males.

Assumption. To say that women don't compete fiercely with each
other or that it is lesser than males is a fantasy. If women didn't
have a tendency for competition we wouldn't see the problem of
dysmorphia. One would surely think that some competition was
required to fill political positions by women! What about female
athletes, of which there are MANY! Did something happen to
women in the 21st century or were they always this competitive?

>I find the sexes to be complementary to each other and, at
>the same time, I recognize the fact that some males are often
>more female than females. There are no fixed rules in nature.

Phew. At least we can agree here. This is the "behavioural
overlap" I was referring to.

>You are 24? Which is the new generation you are talking about?

Yes, that is my site, but I'm currently 27. The new generation would
be those younger than me, especially those still under the care of
mommy and daddy. I haven't been with mommy and daddy for seven
whole years and have been legally an adult for nine.

>So you assume intellectuals are all gays? Fun stuff.

No, I didn't say that. It's a stereotype that I've encountered
sometimes as a gay man and I realize where the source of it lies,
as I've already explained. Another emerging stereotype that
appears to be a global trend is one that equates "gay life" with
"fun, parties, drugs, dancing". It's probably because Pride
parades are the first thing that the general public sees of us,
causing this new equation. In turn, this promotes the reckless
partygoing stereotype within the gay community, which in turn
feeds in on itself, until a growing backlash will finally precipitate
to break this.

>I would be sorry about your society, if it were so.

It is so. And it is true in some form in your society as well, so
let's steer away from this holier-than-thou shtick. I doubt your
country (whatever it is called) is any more ideal than another,
complete with its own set of cultural paradoxes.

>By the way, do you know that many German men do and
>enjoy doing the housework? I don't think anyone thinks they
>are gay.

Well, it rests my aching heart to know that German men are not
considered gay for doing housework in post-Nazi Europe. What
an ideal culture this must seem to be to you.
