The etymology of Alb. 'tharë' I guess is from PIE root *sek- 'to
cut'. Indeed, from the o-grade form *sok- + -enyo > tha(k)nj. 'Tharë'
or 'thamë' are just participles of this verb. Here, according to
Pokorny, belongs too shat 'hoe' < *sekti. Also there we must put o-
grade form *sok-ti, otherwise the equation is not correct. Loosing
of /k/ is regular change in PIE roots (cf. natë < *nokW-t, i djathtë
< *deks-t).
