Very few Gothic words have left their mark on Spanish. The one I can
remember is <gaita> "bagpipes", from Goth. gaits "goat". There are a
few more (Larry Trask "The History of Basque", mentions hilms > elmo
"elm", hanka > anca "haunch", fat > hato "clothing", and a full list
is contained in the index to Corominas' multivolume etymological
dictionary, which I don't have at hand) but the number is small.
Certainly not anything like the Frankish influence on French or the
Longobard influence on Northern Italian.
