territory north of the Danube was dominated for
centuries by Germanic (esp. Gothic) populations,
Transylvania included. We know that contiguity between
Germanics and Slavs resulted in the latter adopting a
fair number of words from the former. Is there any
evidence for something of the sort in Romanian?*****
