And why's that? Is the evidence in favour of the Illyrian hypothesis so incontrovertible? While we're at it, is there _any_ positive linguistic evidence that allows one to connect Albanian specifically with Illyrian (inasmuch as there is some tangible linguistic material identifiable as Illyrian)? Argumentum e silentio ("contrary evidence is weak or lacking") and argumentum ab auctoritate ("Çabej and Cimochowski thought so") dominate such disputes, but I'm equally sick of both.
