I fear for your sanity too. This is ridiculous. Apparently you both
don't seem to have a problem with using ignorance as an excuse to
propose anything.
By the same stretch of half-assed reasoning, we may propose that
Indo-European was Ukrainian, because in the end, how do we REALLY
know?
That's where reasoning comes in. We must _prioritize_ the
different ideas and some ideas just don't have the same weight
based on the facts that we ARE aware of. By all evidence, Hattic
is more autochthonous than IE, and this is the common scientific
consensus -- It's not based on some cockamamey cult called
Christianity... Oops, I meant to say "religion" :)
The "out-of-Anatolia pre-IE" idea is very low on that list of
possibilities for the reasons I've provided and for the reasons
many other authors have provided. Steve only goes contrary to what
facts we DO know. Why??
