I have too just an electronic part of the "De Aedificiis". And you could
be right. There is eassy to confounde the "nu" with " upsilon" so until
someone tells us who should be the right form I keep me away from
"mauro" or "manro", but I keep "balle/valle":-))What should mean
"manroballe" then? Would it make any sense in Greek or something else?
But your ideea gives me to think about. The "Maurovalle" resembles well
the later "Maurovalahia". In dubio pro reo, what should one do? Accept a
form like maurovale with later form maurovalahia or reject it since the
" way to rad is not sure" and there cuold have been "manrovale" ?
