Oh?  What about  M. Räsänen (Uralo-Altaic)?  Is his information considered passé?  About Ainu.....if you wait another decade or so, the language will become extinct and then won't need to fit into any category :-)

No-one (not even Ruhlen) believes in Uralo-Altaic anymore.  Adding
Athabascan and Ainu is just silly.
