One part of the Cimmerians, when driven out of the area north of the
Black Sea by Scythians, went to Central Europe, picked up the Celtic
language in their own version (P-Celtic) and proceeded to Jutland (as
Cimbri) and the British Isles (Cymru and all that). Tacitus mentions
that the Aestii on the Baltic coast spoke a language similar to tha
of the British Isles.
