Since the Christianity was first and long time widespread in Latin
Language the most Christian terms are from Latin. I just am curios if in
any text of Latin Church appears the Latin word "Draco, -nes" and if
there this word means "devil".
Is this word ever used by Church with the meaning "devil"?
If in Latin religious texts should not be a such word, maybe in
Byzantine texts?
draco: meaning in Latin , just snake, diminutive -> dracunculus
My dictionary gives the Latin word as a loan from Greek "drakon".
If this should be indeed a Greek word, which should be the PIE form and
the etymology of the word? Any cognates in other IE languages?
