And the rules state that /en/ > /în/ after labial, /s/, or C + /r/, as
in vînã, sîn, frîn, and also strînge < strenge < stringe-


You have to explain the albanian "ë" first. After that, you have to
take a look here:
stinguere > stinge
excrementum > screme
'cuz so are the rules:-)
