To this IE root I think that belong also Albanian vesh
"ear" <*o:s-<aus-, like vet "self" <*o:t (cmp. Greek
autos). For evoluation of spirant /-s-/ > /-sh-/ we
have examples: �sht� "is" (lat. est, kroat. jest, per.
asti, etc.)and many others.
