Whatever Pearson's real or alleged private sympathies are, he doesn't mix them up with his editorial work. He's never written a racist editorial for the JIES. If he did, there would be justified protests from all quarters -- also from the JIES readers and authors. But he hasn't, and therefore the comparison doesn't hold.
