hmmm.. I wonder when stopped in Romanian the "li" > "i"
The form existent in romanian is "crai" and that shows a loadn after the
slavic methathesis , maybe X centuries (?).
But the word "clipa" has stil "li" maybe because of "cli-"(?), and "a
iubi"= to love is given as from "liuba" but how we discussed once a
theoreticaly gothic borrowing could be not excluded at all.
On other hand the words like "a lipi " is given from slavic "lepiti" and
others like "lipan", "lipca" whereby even the semantic aspect doesnt
matches , the slavic word is given as the word borrowed into romanian.
Prety interesticn why "crai" from "krali" but "lipan" from "lipan
(serbian word):-))
