"94. Sesterce, fin 240-début 243, Rome, 8e-11e ém., 1re off., (Bronze, 29x31 mm, 12 h, 27,42 g), (poids théorique 27,06 g, taille une once, 1/12 L.).
A/IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG. 'Imperator Gordianus Pius Felix Augustus' (Empereur Gordien Pieux Heureux Auguste). Buste lauré de Gordien III à droite, avec cuirasse et paludamentum, vu de trois quarts en arrière (A*2).
R/AETER-N-ITATI AVG/ S|C. 'Aeternitati Augusti' (À l'Éternité de l'Auguste). Sol (Le Soleil) radié et à demi nu, debout de face, regardant à gauche, levant la main droite et tenant un globe de la gauche.
Flan épais. Usure régulière au droit. Patine marron clair absente aux endroits de relief.
