albanian and "v" intervocalic

Did the latin "v", intervocalic, disappiered in albanian
too?Is there a rule like in romanian or if the intervocalic
"v" dissappiered in the latin words of albanian , this is
just an accident?Or this is just in the romanian where
"generally" the "v" among two vowels, sincopated?
