We discussed the name of the Balkans back in the 13100's.

The Slavic name of the mountains still exists: Stara Planina (Old Mountain Pasture, < *polnina). The name Im < *imU from Greek [imos] < (h)aimos (Lat. Haemus) was also occasionally used.

Does anyone know how in the old slavic documents the Balcan Mountains are named? Are they still the Rodophe Mountains or are they already Balcan Mountains? When does first appears this name " balcan" in the writting sources?
