SAMPA proposes @ for schwa, and it used to be used on Cybalist.
Unfortunately, the public list archive interprets words containing @ as
e-mail addresses, and mangles them. That's why we use & instead.
Unfortunately, X-SAMPA has allocated & for /OE/, the low front rounded
vowel.
