Maurocastrum?] and "Akliba" [GK where "Ak" is the
Turkic for "white"]. And she then states that the
first continuous Genoese information about the area at
the end of the 13th c. mentions "Malvocastrum' and
"Maurocastrum", i.e. the "black" city. But drawing
