I've seen the word applied to the long-nosed (horned) adder, _Vipera ammodytes_, which occurs in Albania. The plural, if my Albanian is correct :) is <nëpërka>; the definite forms, <nëpërka>, pl. <nëpërkat>. That's what I'd predict, anyway.

an indeed bloody question from my side now. Are vipers to find
in actualy theritory of Albanian? And if so which of them? The
normal one or the horned one?
The second queston is how is the plural form of "ne:pe:rke:"
in albanian ? In romanian is sg "nãpârcã" and plural is
"nãpârci" with definite article "nãpârca" and "nãpârcile".
